5.12. IPP general filters

IPP general filters (menu entry: Actions->IPP general filters).

IPP general filters action applies predefined or user defined filter with arbitrary size kernel using   Intel® Integrated Performance Primitives. If you’re using one of “downgraded” Pixopedia’s versions ME or TE, this action will be disabled.

General IPP filters concept is very similar to Simple 3×3 filters: filters are described by kernel elements, div and bias. Because General IPP filters can have arbitrary size kernel, there are additional two parameters in filter code: rows and columns which specify the size of kernel matrix.

Again, there are few user defined sample filters (items with italic style). You can create your own filters: double click anywhere in Filter code to invoke modal window, where you can create your own filter and save it under userdef_xml folder. Filters are saved as XML file with flt extension.

General IPP filters can be applied using strokes (all “classic” shapes are allowed) or using one of “four cats”.
