New version of Pixopedia XE32 is available. First of all, here are the new features:
- Multi-cell strokes added to Ornaments action.
- Interactive L-systems added to Ornaments action.
- Short palette with samples added as a new color scheme.
- Possibility to draw with colors from short palette and change them “on the fly”: use X and Y key (see documentation).
- Changing brush “on the fly” system modified: stroke is drawn in continuous manner (there is no more internal mouse-up/mouse-down simulation to change brush tip).
- Possibility to change brush size and capacity “on the fly” added: press and hold Q/W key to decrease/increase brush size, use A/S to decrease/increase capacity(opacity).
Here is a list of bug fixes from previous version:
- memory leaks on program exit – fixed.
- decomposition mode: when decomposition is performed all levels/layers created are visible – fixed. Temporary workaround: just click on background image in levels/layers view.
- image processing – Tessellation: when current brush edges selected, edges are processed using current action – fixed. Temporary workaround: select draw action with normal mode before invoking tessellation.
- disabling/enabling special shapes does not work correctly for some actions (warping, marker) – fixed.
- action – ornaments: special shapes are not disabled (and they should be). Selecting special shapes with ornaments leads to program crash – fixed.
- wrong release/version checking code for Pixopedia: when “check for update” is invoked, informs the user that new version is available (which is not true) – fixed.
- redo from menu mode (or using shortcut Ctrl+Y) performs undo instead of redo – fixed.
- when sticky forms are visible and “hide sticky form on mouse down” is on, when drawing and changing brush “on the fly” IMA flickers. That’s because sticky forms are again shown and hidden (mouse up is emulated) – fixed.
- action – ornaments: program crashes when brush pattern is used – fixed.
- some typos fixed.
- program sometimes crashes on exit (unnecessary double clean-up) – fixed.
- Brushes->Color Scheme: palette box not visible – fixed.
- Brushes->Color scheme: inconsistent behavior of image browser (textures/stamps/background tiles) – fixed.
- Brushes->Color scheme: memory leak when invoking image browser (textures/stamps/background tiles) – fixed.
- Assistant images – inconsistent behavior when image is not loaded – fixed.
