Finally, new version of Pixopedia is available. Pixopedia XE is rewritten from the scratch. Old Intel IPL library is replaced with up-to-date Intel IPP library. New drawing engine assures easier maintenance and further development.
New lua scripting engine derive from LIPS https://github.com/spetric/Lips, using fast LuaJIT interpreter and FFI gives a big boost to image processing scripts. Through Lua scripts you can access various OpenCV image processing functions, from filters to convolutional neural networks (neural style transfer) .
Old spHost engine for handling 8bf plug-ins is replaced with newer 3rd party DMMD host, as old spHost is not 64-bit compatible.
Note: currently, there is only 32-bit version available (Pixopedia XE32). 64-bit version will be available after month or two, after testing and bug corrections.
Note: Pixopedia XE32 2019.11 is still in Alpha phase, although is relatively stable (more or less). Please report any bug or inconsistency in program behavior to pixopedia@sigmapi-design.com.
